Course Overview

Our Esthetics Diploma program consists of the most modern and advanced techniques available in the ESTHETICS industry today. All theory and practical techniques of ESTHETICS are studied. Alltheory and practical techniques of ESTHETICS are studied. You will belearning everything ranging from Skin Care to Body Care that will includesuch things as Regular and Specialized Facials, Microdermabrasion,Non-Surgical Facelifts, Body Treatments, Glycolic Facials, Enzyme BodyPeels, Salt Glow Scrubs, Back Facials, Thalassotherapy, Aromatherapy,Professional Make Up Artistry, Manicures and Pedicures, Electrolysis,Waxing and Nail Extensions. There is also the option of learning LaserHair Removal and Photo Laser, an advanced form of skin therapy which isused to treat acne, photo rejuvination, remove red veins and pigmentedlesions. Our Esthetics Diploma program consists of 900 hours. Day classes are held, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (approximately 6 months).

By adding Electrolysis, day classes would consist of 1200 hours (approximately 8 months). Day classes are held Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. We have new classes starting 8 times per year: January (2 times), April, June, July (2 times), October and December.

Part time Esthetics classes start 6 times per year and are offered on Saturdays: 8:30am to 3pm.

All equipment and textbooks for the practice of Esthetics are included in your kit made available to you. Upon completion of the 1200 hour program, you will receive 3 Diplomas (Esthetics, Professional Make Up Artistry and Electrolysis).

Our Laser Hair Removal Course consists of 20 hours and it certifies students in laser hair removal.

Our Photo Laser Course includes: red vein removal, pigmented lesion, skin rejuvenation and treating acne. This course consists of 16 hours and it certifies students in photo rejuvenation.

Registration Requirments

For Diploma programs (Esthetics, Professional Make Up Artistry and/or Electrolysis), you must have either an O.S.S.D. (or equivalent) or be of mature student status (18 years of age or older).

We are pleased to accept students from foreign countries wishing to study in Canada under the Student Visa Program. Please call for further information. Avola College of Hairstyling and Esthetics is registered and approved as a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Act. All courses are subject to availability.

For students enrolled in the Esthetics or Electrolysis Programs, financial assistance may be available to those who qualify.
